Journal Nursing Research Publication Media (NURSEPEDIA) is a nationally based, peer-reviewed electronic journal. This section outlines the ethical behavior expected from all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editor-in-chief, editorial board members, peer reviewers, and the publisher (Lentera Mitra Lestari Foundation). This statement is based on the COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
The publication of articles in Journal Nursepedia regulates publication ethics to standardize the ethical conduct expected from all parties involved in the publishing process, including authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher. Lentera Mitra Lestari Foundation, as the publisher, is responsible for all stages of publication and is committed to ensuring that commercial revenue related to journal management does not influence editorial decisions.
Research misconduct is defined as fabrication of materials, falsification of data, citation manipulation, or plagiarism in producing, conducting, or reviewing research and writing articles, or in reporting research results by authors. When authors are found to be involved in research misconduct or violations related to articles published in this journal, the Editor has the responsibility to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.
The Editorial Board will follow COPE best practices in investigating and resolving allegations of research misconduct in a fair and transparent manner. Manuscripts found to contain research misconduct will be rejected, and if already published, they may be retracted and formally linked to the original article.
The first step involves determining the validity of the allegation and assessing whether it aligns with the definition of research misconduct. This step also includes identifying any relevant conflicts of interest. The allegation will be shared with all authors involved in the research, who will be asked to provide a detailed response.
After receiving and evaluating the responses, further review will be conducted involving relevant experts. Clarification, additional analysis, or both may be published as a Letter to the Editor, and in many cases, a formal correction or corrigendum may be issued.
Institutions are expected to conduct an appropriate and thorough investigation into allegations of scientific misconduct. Ultimately, authors, journals, and institutions share the responsibility to maintain the accuracy of the scholarly record. Appropriate actions may include corrections, retraction with replacement, or full retraction.
The Editor of Journal NURSEPEDIA is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are published. Editors are guided by journal policies and may be constrained by legal requirements related to defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. Editors may consult with other editors or reviewers before making final decisions.
Journal NURSEPEDIA has a clear procedure for handling complaints against Editorial Staff, Editorial Board Members, or the Publisher. Complaints will be clarified directly with the concerned party. The scope of complaints includes all matters related to journal management processes, such as editorial procedures, citation manipulation, unfair editorial or reviewer practices, or peer-review manipulation.
All complaints will be handled in accordance with COPE guidelines and should be submitted via email to: jurnal.nursepedia@gmail.com
Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts based solely on their intellectual content, without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy of the authors.
The editorial team must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the publisher.
Unpublished materials disclosed in submitted manuscripts must not be used in an editor’s own research without written permission from the author.
